Biking grows in popularity every day. However, the number of stolen bikes increases as well. With the bike being a comfortable and cheap means of transportation no wonder the problem of stealing has been recently addressed.
Last month in Las Vegas a GPS-equipped pedal was introduced by French startup Connected Cycle at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The new pedal is connected with the smartphone and immediately lets the owner of the bike know if it has been relocated. With this pedal the chances you get your bike back are as high as they have never been before!
On top of that, such a technology allows better control over your two-wheeled friend and collects different statistics like speed, incline, miles cover, calories burnt, etc. All the stats are stored in a cloud system and can be accessed through the Connected Cycle app, which means there is no need to carry a smartphone all the time.
The pedal is designed in five colors: red, blue, green, orange and black and are purchased as a pair. Installation takes less than two minutes and can be done without specialized help.
